Dear group yoga students,
While we are not aware of any issues at PPYS, out of an abundance of caution we are asking all students to bring their own yoga mats. We are no longer renting mats out. If needed bring your own pillow and/or a towel and take them when leaving the studio. Items not taken will be disposed of.
We have removed blankets, pillows, eye bags and neck rolls from our large yoga room but will continue to have bolsters for now. We are requiring students to use a towel as a barrier if making direct contact with our bolsters.
Further, our instructors are using extra care (including no face massage) regarding any hands on assistance. Feel free to let them know if you have any special requests.
If you'd like some words of wisdom, here is another universally meaningful prayer that has helped me over the years.
God grant me the Serenity
to accept the things I can not change
Courage to change the things I can and
Wisdom to know the difference.
Patience with the changes that take time
Gratitude for all that I have
Tolerance for those with different struggles and
the Strength to get up and try again,
one day at a time.
May we all be healthy and safe.

Dear students and clients:
The more rested you are and the more you keep up with your exercise and good nutrition, the more resistance you will have.
Here is what you can do at the studio:
At the Peaceful Presence Yoga & Massage Studio we are implementing a stringent protocol for your safety and well-being.
*We are more regularly cleaning and sanitizing the our new yoga flooring and our sinks and bathrooms.
*We are asking people to try to bring and use their own mats and NOT to leave them in the studio.
*Please use a tissue or paper towel as a barrier any time your face is to be in contact with a mat, bolster or blanket.
*We are asking all of our staff and students to clean their hands with hand sanitizer and/or to wash the hands on arrival into the studio.
*Until further notice lets take a break from handshaking and greeting with kisses. A nod or slight bow is great- Namaste!
*Should you find yourself blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing, please do so into a tissue.
If you have the sniffles, a cold or a cough, please stay home and let us know how you are. You can email me .
Other suggestions for outside of the studio:
Always wash your hands on arriving home (and certainly before eating).
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Keep your immune system strong
Practice yoga, breathing exercises (done in an appropriate location), walking in the fresh air, getting enough sleep, and eating healthy, unprocessed food.
If you have not already read enough:
The good news is that the risk of getting coronavirus in the U.S. is currently low. However, much like the seasonal flu, older adults and those with chronic health conditions are at higher risk of being impacted.
The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
* Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
* Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
The only way for the virus to infect you is through your nose or mouth via your hands or an infected cough or sneeze onto or into your nose or mouth.
May we have insight, wisdom, and discernment and may all be be happy, healthy and safe.
